After my retirement, I still long to serve YOU. I long to be as faithful and as committed in
my new season of being completely detached from Law Enforcement. First, I’d like to say a humble and gracious “Thank
YOU.” I have no words other than that
for all that You’ve seen me through and protected me from.
I love You so very much and I’m so grateful that You know
and see inside my heart. I don’t doubt
that YOU know my sincerity and wholehearted devotion for You. I love that You know that I am not perfect
and that I am going to make mistakes. I
especially love knowing that in spite of those mistakes, You will still love
me.I am writing this letter to ask that You continue to be my Shepherd. I’m praying that You will continue to guide and instruct me as Your word has promised. I’m praying that I will not fill up my days, my to-do list and my calendar with “meaningless stuff.” I’m praying that I will not revert back into people pleasing and that I will not get involved in things that leave me exhausted and resentful. I only want to bring You glory and honor and I only want to do the “work” that You have assigned to me.
Help me to listen.
Help me to hear. Help me to be
still. Help me to grow. Help me to share. Help me to give. Help me to rest. Help me to meditate on Your precepts and Your
holy scriptures. Help me to sift all
decisions through You. Help me to
wait. Help me to trust. Help me to pray. Help me to believe. Help me to shine for YOU
and not seek any GLORY!!!!

TO SEE YOU AT WORK IN MY LIFE, KNOWING THAT IT IS NOT MY LIFE BUT THE LIFE THAT
I SURRENDERED TO YOU AT THE DAY OF SALVATION WHEN I ASKED YOU TO BE MY LORD!
