I thank you so much that I do not struggle with being sexually pure. Thank you that because I have chosen to spend intimate time with you developing our relationship and cultivating a oneness with you, that overtime it has shown me that my precious gift is no longer for the taking. Because of your love and your blood which has cleansed and redeemed me, my sacred gift will not be unwrapped until my wedding night.
Thank you for this precious devotional by Sherri, who has a heart for women and a heart for Jesus. I pray with my whole heart for any woman or young girl that is struggling with her sexual purity, or who has felt abused and used and harbors regret and shame.
Father, please help her to see that like me, she can be not only restored and renewed, but she can walk with her head held high because she is your precious daughter. The past has been forgiven and forgotten for all those who are in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:17.)
And Lord I'd like to say a special prayer for any woman or young girl who is feeling lost and alone and believes that her body is the only gift that she has to offer in order to feel loved and connected. Please Father God, help her to see that you are the only one that can fill all of those longings and empty places deep within her heart and soul.
Anything outside an intimate relationship with Christ will only leave you with shame, regret, embarrassment, feelings of unworthiness and low self-esteem in the end. Please have them to look to You Lord God for love and intimacy and not to her flesh or his.
Your body is a gift from Me, and you are too valuable to let the wrong person open that gift. You are My treasure, and My Spirit dwells within you. I know there is an inner war raging for your soul and your body--fighting against all you know to be true.
Remember, My love, I can fight this battle for you, so don’t compromise My best for you for a moment of passion. I know it may seem harmless to give yourself away, but the pain is not worth the pleasure. Listen, My love: don’t imitate those in the world who care nothing for your soul. Give yourself to Me, and I will give you the love you’re looking for.
