My Lord,
Help us to be aware.....
Father, help me.....
There are so many things that are pulling for our attention.
We are such a busy society and we are so a "fix it now, do it now, have to have it now...." culture.
Help us to be still and listen for you. Help us to stop striving and to stop grasping for so many things that are simple not for us. Things that we are trying to handle and things that we are trying to achieve and forgetting that all things must first be sifted by You and your will.
We assume a lot of responsibility and are continually frustrated with the fact that we simply can't do it all. We were not meant to and we surely were not created to. We can tend to operate in such a way that shoves Your will and Word to the side. We call on you when we "think" we need you and we don't call on you when we actually need you; which is in every moment of our lives.
We think that the little things will get done as we are in the habit of [believing] that "it's all good, I've so got this...."
We are such a proud society and such a "know it all" culture. We have our degrees, our technology and our careers and all we need is more time in the day to accomplish the things that "we" have set out to do.
We are such creatures of habit that we literally refuse to embrace not only change but actually at times, can deeply resent it.
Oh how I laugh when I look back on my life and think of the ways that I operated completely in my own will and strength, and how I yielded absolutely nothing from that season. I was in such chaos and frustration but pretending on the inside that it was all "fine."
So NOT true.
I had no idea that I needed a SAVIOR. I had no idea that YOU were my Savior and that you wanted to save me. I didn't know that I could be saved. I laugh thinking how I wanted to be "rescued" but believing that no one every would. NO One in the flesh....Lol

Father, forgive us for our sins. Forgive us for complaining about stuff. Forgive us for being selfish. Forgive us for ignoring the needs of others. Forgive us for hoarding and having way more than we need. Forgive us for fretting and not trusting you. Forgive us for not forgiving others, when you have commanded us to. Forgive us for not showing the love of Christ in the lives of those that are in desparate need of knowing that someone does love them. Forgive us for not delighting in your word. Forgive us for being too busy for YOU. Forgive us for not setting aside time each day to sit at your feet. Forgive us for not praying for our leaders and our Nation. Forgive us for not having a heart for the things that are not pleasing to You. Forgive us for walking in sin that you have forgiven us for again and again. Forgive us for judging others. Forgive us for being silent when we should have spoken up. Forgive us for those times that we should have kept quiet and just listened. Forgive us for planning ahead and not being in the moment. Forgive us for wanting more and more and not being content with what you've blessed us with. Forgive us for wanting something that you've clearly said no to. Forgive us for moving ahead and refusing to wait on YOU!
Help us Lord God to be the creation and servant that YOU created us to be. Help us to seek your will and to walk in the grace with the #knowing that YOU will walk with us. Help us to see that there is nothing that's going to happen that you have not already equipped us to handle. Help us to see that NOTHING is new to you and that all things are occurring just as You knew they would. Help us to see that as our lives unfold one moment at a time, you are in every single one of those moments. Help us to walk in our circumstances with the "comfort" and "peace" that we are not like the world, we are like the Son. All because you died for us and gifted us with Your Holy Spirit.
We are not alone and this life is not about us. I repeat, we are not alone and this life is not about us!
Prayers: Many Lord God need your healing, many have health concerns, troubled marriages and troubled kids, financial burdens, loss of a job, lack of food-clothing and shelter, many are feeling alone and forgotten, many have a prideful heart, many are holding onto anger, many are in need of deliverance and many have no idea that YOU are a GOD who can fix all of these things. Father, please make yourself known today in a way that the scales fall off. Open the eyes, ears and hearts of those who need a Savior. Lord, give them a Jesus encounter and a glimpse of your glory!!!!!!!!! In your Son's precious name, amen.
Lord God I praise those who love you and are shinning your light and who are making a difference in this dark world.
