Day 1 with a fresh perspective

My Lord,

I pray and you answer.  And I love that you answer oftentimes rather quickly when it's according your your will and not my own.  As I began day 1 of my 90 day journey through the bible, you've already revealed yourself to me.  There are many verses that tend to stand out as I've read the first 17 chapters but I cannot possibly list them all as I would be here for quite some time.

But just to name a few:  (pause, I thank you deeply for your love and compassion toward humans)

Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;..."

Genesis 6:1-3
Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."…

Genesis 6:5-6
Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.…

Genesis 8:21
The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.…"

Genesis 8:22
"While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease."

Genesis 11:7
"Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's speech."

Genesis 15:6
Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Genesis 16:13
She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me."

Father, that last verse I so could have written myself.  You've seen me, you saw and you will always see me for who I am and I believe in you.

Thank you for helping my heart to set aside intimate time with you and with your word.  The book that sustains my life.

So looking forward to our face to face reunion.

Eternally yours
