My Lord,
Praying for safe travels for me and my family as we are planning to leave Friday morning. I love you and thank you in advance for your protection, not only for us but the pilot and passengers and all those who are traveling this weekend...bus, train, car, metro, etc...yes, your grace is merciful.
Many, many prayers:
Myself, Joshua, my children, my gran girls, my siblings, my nieces, my nephews, my parents, my church, our leaders, my coworkers, my neighbors, my community, my senior friends, my sisters in Christ, my friendships, the Nation, the youth, the soldiers, the teachers, the public servants, the doctors and nurses, the fire fighters, the taxi drivers and those who drive 18 wheelers, the shelters; both homeless and animals, the domestic violence victims, teenage pregnancy, the prisoners, the assault victims, the wounded warriors, those on death row, the command staff, the victims of human trafficking, the victims of floods, hurricanes, tornados, and earthquakes, the survivors of any tragedy, the orphans and widows, those children waiting to be adopted, those who have lost a loved one, those who have lost a job or home, those waiting to hear news concerning their health or someone the love, those in cancer treatment, lupus, diabetes, ms, autism, down syndrome, those with thyroid issues, fibroids, heart disease, kidney infection, those waiting on organ transplants, those who are hurting and pretending to be okay, those in despair and contemplating suicide, those who are struggling in their marriages, those who have addictions, those who a waiting on a miracle, those who don't know you and those who worship false gods, and many, many other concerns that only you know My Lord.
I know you to be sovereign and compassionate, powerful and passionate. We can call on your name and be saved, receive healing and redemption. We can trust in you with our whole hearts and place our hope there. We can come to you and find rest for our souls and we can believe the words in the bible to be God breathe and truth. We can place our confidence in Your promises and your truth because you are the One true God and time and time again, you have proven it. We can struggle to do things on our own and fail repeatedly...or we can surrender and give it ALL to you. I have countless testimonies and experiences where you have shown me that control is just an illusion and that the enemy is after those that profess your name. Darkness is a friend of his and all those who give in to his cunning and subtle lies and deceit have no place in your kingdom. If we confess ours sins and if we walk in your light, if we obey your word and your precepts, we will be cleaned of all unrighteousness and we will have freedom in Christ.
Not only that, this life is not all there is. Day in and day out our society must encounter work and eat to survive, ensure that we get enough sleep, countless chores, to-do lists, balance entertainment, make time for vacations, travel for work and commuting, handle stress, rush hour traffic, run numerous errands, engage in and handle disagreements, attend meetings, meet deadlines, encounter unfortunate accidents, live in the midst of crime, receive unexpected bad news, seek education, pay taxes, deal with depressions, face seasons of hopelessness, sickness, war, abuse, pride, greed, homeless, and so much more BUT we, as believers have a promise and a place in heaven.
Yes, My Lord, when this life is over, we get to come HOME and be with You. And that very reason gives me the JOY that makes each day bearable and is why I can smile in the midst of adversity. It's not easy but it is worth it. I know that my reward is with you and that you will return for me. I know that I am your beloved Princess Bride. I have hidden your word in my heart. I am NOTHING without you and I NEED you minute by minute and day by day. I long to see your face and until I do, my ear is inclined to hear from you.
Hold my hand Lord Jesus...please, hold my hand.
Eternally yours
