My Lord,
I'm always inspired by your presence in my life. I feel you and see you every single day. I'm lying here looking out of the window, completely relaxed and in a state of immense contentment. I see the clear skies and the tall trees and I know that You are there. You are here with me. And knowing this takes me back to a time when I lived in Waldorf, Maryland. I remember asking You to bring the clouds, the sun, the moon, the gentle breeze, the green trees, and the bird's sweet song with me when I moved to my new address. I did not know the location when I made that request, but I was putting all of my trust in You. It was one of the biggest decisions in my life. And here we are today; together. Those thoughts inspired the below poem.

I do not need to live on the beach to be happy.
I do not need to see the Monarch to be happy.
I do not need the color orange to make me happy.
I do not need to be away from negative people to be happy.
I do not need a brownie sundae to make me happy.
I do not need to lose weight to be happy.
I do not need to fulfill all of my dreams to be happy.
I do not need to travel the world to be happy.
I do not need material possessions just to be happy.
I do not need to publish another book to make me happy.
I do not need my ginormous bed just to be happy.
I do not need a lazy summer day to make me happy.
I do not need my children to be successful to make me happy.
I do not need to retire at the end of the year just to be happy.
I do not need a soulmate...godly man holding my hand just to be happy.
I do not need the sunrise or sunset in front of me every morning to make me happy.
I do not need to see a full rainbow as wide as the sky just to make me happy.
I do not need praise and worship music to make me happy.
I do not need to be accepted by the world to be happy
All I need to be happy, is #my Jesus; twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Yes, I need #my Jesus to be happy!!! <3
