I thank you for your gift of life. YOU went to the cross for me and you suffered for my sins! Thank you seems so simple and yet it is a very profound offering from my heart to yours. I want to honor you with my life. Help me to stay on the path that you have laid out for me and help me to listen to you and for you.
Thank you for the many devotional e-mails from those who have a heart for you, just as I do. I know that nothing replaces the intimacy in reading your word for ourselves and I thank you that my heart delights in doing that. As yesterday had me deep into Proverbs 31, two people sent me pictures of your rainbow. I was so busy reading that I missed it. BUT YOU FATHER, You allowed them to see it and capture it and share it with me. I love YOU!
Thank you for this morning's devotional prayer:
Dear Father God, I get excited this time of year as I look forward to a special time of remembering and celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, my Redeemer, Lord and Savior. I feel grateful and humbled, even brokenhearted, when I really meditate on what Jesus experienced on this earth, particularly between the "last supper" and the time of His Resurrection. What you must have experienced, the agony of separation from your Son and knowing what he faced…but then, you knew the reason and the outcome. It was your plan, your way to redeem me. And Mary, the burden of a mother's heart as the child she birthed and loved gave Himself over as the sacrificial Lamb of God. There are so many things to ponder. But I also feel expectant, believing the promises of Jesus and knowing that He lives, forever interceding for me, and will welcome me home at the end of my earthly journey. I just want to shout "hallelujah." Thank you for loving me so much. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
