Snow Days

My Lord,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Most of the women at my church are school teachers and get just as excited as the kids when it snows. If my prayers are answered, this time next year I will get to join them in their excitement!

But, in the meantime, yesterday just so happened to be my day off. I was kind of, sort of, excited as I went out to dig my car from beneath the white, fluffy, beautiful bliss. It was not only sunny and cold but amazingly freeing. having absolutely nothing to do on such a gorgeous and quiet day.

I wanted a head start on clearing the path for my car so that when morning came it would not be such a strenuous chore. And before I turned in for the night, I had in my head what I was going to wear to work and what I was going to take for lunch.

However, when I awakened this morning, I had another awful headache. I went to prayer for my children and then requested the day off.

Father I thank you that I do not have snow days, but that I have an occupation which allows personal leave.

My headache has since passed, and I am delighting in my pjs, in front of my heater, and in the Scriptures as I study the book of Genesis.

I am rotating between the pages of your Holy Bible, staring across the bay at the white icy patches, watching the birds fly by without any strings attached, and delighting in all your glory.

You are indeed the Creator of the universe and YOU my Lord, YOU hold all things together!

Thank you for your scriptures that continually remind me that you are God, that you love me, that you chose me, that if I wait for you and trust in you and believe in you, that the reward will be great. Not only that, but that the life that we will get to share with you in #eternity, is far #greater than anything that this world has to offer!

Father God, I believe in you!

#Prayers: yesterday I talked with my daughter, and she told me not to worry about her and her brother. My Lord, that is easier said than done. But Father I do trust my children in your hands, I do trust you. And I continually pray that they seek you, desire and obey your will. Teach them and protect them Lord!

I ask for continued prayers for Susie and her family, the Wagner family, Kara and Jason, Diana, Carolyn, and many, many others.

Father, I ask specifically Lord God that you would comfort and make provisions for the homeless doing this is very cold winter season.

Eternally yours
