In Our Mornings...

My Lord,

I love you so much I just cry. I was searching your scriptures concerning "morning" because while I was in the shower, I was #listening to Psalm 119 on my audio Youversion app.  When I heard the word "dawn" my ears perked up.  So I began to search the scriptures for more of you....

I just love when I take a journey through the Bible and you show me something that I did not know and that I was not seeking.

Lord,  I was reading Malachi 4:2 from my John MacArthur's study Bible and he goes on to say in his footnotes inpart that the "sickness" is inextricably linked with sin, with healing coming only through the suffering of the servant.

Father, in studying your word over the past six years or so, I have learned that most, not all but most  of our sicknesses, illnesses, chaos, disorder in the home and workplace come from our sins and our disobedience; too include generations of past sins.

If we would only turn to you, read your word, study it, meditate on it, believe it, and trust in You, how different would our lives would be? Oh that we could walk in your peace and submit to your will.

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. (Malachi 4:2 NIV)

I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. (Psalm 119:45 NIV)

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. (Psalm 119:71 NIV)

Redeem me from human oppression, that I may obey your precepts. (Psalm 119:134 NIV)

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35 NIV)

I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. (Psalm 119:147 NIV)

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. (Psalm 5:3 NIV)

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. (Psalm 130:5-6 NIV)

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. (Psalm 143:8-10 NIV)

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5 NIV)

We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. (2 Peter 1:19 NIV)

"...because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” (Luke 1:78-79 NIV)

Father, you are my portion and you fill my cup so, I eagerly await your voice in the morning...

Eternally yours
