At What Cost?

My Lord,

I haven't even left the house yet and I'm having a great day! I started with prayers. Then a bowl of cereal, washed dishes, fixed a cup of coffee, finished chapter four of Gospel Wakefulness and am in the middle of chapter five.

Was listening to praise music when Charlie knocked in the door with flowers. He thanked me for the card and for the cookies and brownies that I left on his doorstep Wednesday night. Lord you know that I am praying for him, and I trust that you will answer those prayers in your perfect timing.

Next, there was a shower and a decision on what to wear today.  Not even gonna talk about this hair. Lol...

Then I texted myself a list of things I need from the store.  Father you continually provide! Your grace is more than sufficient, your provisions are endless in my life and I thank you!

God you woke me up early this morning. You placed Psalm 119 on my heart and I listened to my audio Youversion app. I listened to the Message version as I laid there thinking about Your word, Jesus' gift to us and His obedience to you.

As I dozed off, I recalled something that someone texted me earlier in the week. This person is struggling with a very personal and disheartening decision and the text simply read: "I can't do this no more." I couldn't stop staring at it because I know it's what you love to hear! If we see it as an opportunity, that's when You walk in. #BUT only if we let you! If we give it over to you, not give up-but surrender the battle into your hands, in walks peace followed by victory!

When I fell asleep, I later woke up around 8:30 and reflected back on a dream that was crystal clear. I then asked myself, "What is Jesus said no?"

Here was the dream:

God was having a conversation with His Son and I could hear it as clear as day; two voices conversing with one another. There were no faces and there was no scenery, just conversation.

God said, "Jesus, I need you to do something very difficult for me, but very important and very necessary.

Jesus said, "What is it Father? You know that I would do anything for you."

And God said, "I need you to die for her sins."

Jesus: "Father what do you mean die for her sins?"

"Yes, my Son, I need you to #sacrifice your life for hers."

There was silence and disbelief.

Jesus felt sorrow as He wept silently.

Instead of saying, "Father,  please, don't ask me to do that, I just can't."

He willingly went to the cross for me.

My Lord, My Savior, thank you for your gift to me and your obedience to your Father!

Help me to walk in the same obedience everyday of my life, no matter what the cost. In Jesus' precious name, amen.

Eternally yours
