You Are A God Who Knows us....

My Lord,

Good morning and thank you for yesterday.

I love how you care for me and how you remind me to take time away to be with you.  I like to think that I am good at that but You, My Lord, you are the lover of my soul and the one who cares for me far greater than I could ever care for myself.

Thank you for the time in your word.  Thank you that like Beth Moore, I am falling in love with Thessalonians.  I could not stop crying yesterday and I just wanted to meditate and be still with many of the verses.  It was as if I was reading it for the very first time.  I love how you give a fresh meaning depending on the season of life we're in.

THANK YOU for Acts 16:16-24, Colossians 4:18, 1st Thessalonians 2:1-4, and thank you that you know and test my heart.  Never give up on me.  I'm holding onto your every word!!!!! ALL
of MY HOPE is in YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!  You are a God who knew that you would "save me" and that I would be exactly where I am, doing exactly what I am doing...all for your Glory My Lord, all for your Glory!

Father, thank you for allowing me to share Missy's birthday with her.  I was so excited to pick
her up for our "date."  She looked beautiful as I knew she would.  And a special thank you that Josh gave me a wonderful and warm embrace.  He's growing right before my eyes.  Father, thank you that he and Wes have a very special bond and thank you that Grace Brethren has many activities for our youth.  It's one of the things that appears to be lacking here in our Nation's Capitol.  I'm not saying that there aren't any positive things for the youth to do in D. C., I'm just seeing from "my perspective" where the inner city parents and kids are lacking a desire to either go to their local church or get involved aside from just a Sunday morning worship service.

My Lord, thank you for the "big" thing that you did.  Thank you for hearing our prayers and showing up in a "big" way.  You are a "big" God and you care for us in a "big" way and you proved that on a day that was so significant that neither of us will ever forget.  JESUS You #ROCK!

#HOPE is the new word!!!!

Father, Missy and I met a lovely young Christian when we went to dinner and her light was so bright. She was basking in your glory as she told us about her story of salvation.  She is attending Chesapeake Church and she is also a friend to Lauren.  YOU are a God who knows and who knew.  I love that about you.  Thank you that she loves and adores you and is making an impact in her place of employment.  Thank you that you brought a Christian man into her life and that they are planning to marry.

Thank you My Lord for yesterday's meeting concerning the Women's Retreat.  I love that my home is open to Christians and that when we gather, the Holy Spirit is present.  I love that we can hear the waves just shy of the balcony, in the midst of our planning and praying.  Thank you for the peace that you gave Susie.  Thank you for the date that you gifted her with her man.  Thank you that you gave Anna and I some quality time to pray, share and laugh.  You are such a good God and you know what we need even before we ask.

My Lord, thank you that I am single and that I am available where you need me.  I don't know what my future holds, but I so know who holds my future.  I love you so much and I love the thing that you did for me last night concerning something that was weighing heavily on my heart.  I can do all things through you, but sometimes, I'd rather not. Lol

You know the areas of my life where I'm gifted and where I'm most comfortable and I love you for making a way.  (Not that that will stop you from stretching me...lol) But, I'm more at ease today and I'm so ready for the opportunity that you've placed in front of me.  I love how it was a last minute "thing" and how you knew that I'd be the one to fill the shoes.  You have known from the beginning all the things that would cross my path and all the things that are still to come.

Strengthen me according to your will and guide me with your right hand, let no sin rule over me and I am yours to do what you will.  In Jesus precious name, amen.

Lord prayers for: AJ, Dotty and Jerry as they are traveling today, healing for LR, Susie's mom, Marty, rest for my baby sister, Kim and continued prayers for all the things left concerning our retreat planning.  Father, I am not worried one bit as all things work together for the good of those who have been called and who love you!

YAY!  I've been called and I LOVE YOU!

PS. My Lord, thank you again for allowing my path to cross with Denise'.  She and I also share the same middle name.  How cool is that?!?!?  She hadn't heard from me in a couple of days and wanted to know if I was ok.  Please keep her in your protective care and keep their RV in working order.  Give Mark the strength and the wisdom as he travels and make the path straight for their journey and continue to use them to share your gospel and boast about your unending grace and your Glory.

Eternally yours
