MERCY

My Lord,

Yesterday I felt myself fall asleep behind the wheel.  Not sure what the cause was...thyroids, heat exhaustion or something else.  But YOUR grace, mercy and protection woke me up.  You saved me just when I was going to hit the guard rail and as I gently shifted into another lane...You SAVED me.  I cried...you love me and you have plans for me that have yet to be revealed and fulfilled.

Father, sometimes I am complaining, lazy, judgemental, stubborn, selfish, prideful and I could go on...but I say all of this to say that YOU LOVE ME STILL.  Your grace and your mercy abounds in my life and I want to say two simple, small and yet profound words:  "Thank you!"

Thank you that your word says you look at my heart and not my weak flesh.  I love that you know me so deeply and you give your grace in proportion to my need-day by day.  I'm not worthy, but then as I say and think that...YOUR Spirit has chosen to dwell in me which means that I am worthy.  I am your adopted daughter and you love, care for, protect and anoint those that belong to you.

Help me My Lord to shine for you in spite of my circumstances.  Help me to keep my attitude Christ-like and please help me to give, serve, love, encourage, minister to and pray for you and not for selfish motives or out of some sort of misconvieved obligation.

Prayers:  Janet, Mary Kay's relative, two couples who are going through a divorce, marriages, summer youth programs, the New Song Music Ministry, Gloria and her friend that's hoping to adopt, Nita and her husband (times 2), Thea's recovery, Rebbecca and Taylor's upcoming summer vacation, Our Women's Retreat, The Women of Faith Conference and all who are participating and attending, those who are traveling and are in need of your mercy and protection, my boss and his new promotion, those that are starting a new chapter in their lives, the lost and wounded, those with addictions, domestic violence victims, women and young girls with low self esteem, those who have a dream and have given up, those who have a dream and are close to achieving it, those who worship money...may that see that it is indeed the root of all evil and turn away from that idol.  I pray for those who hold tightly to anything that takes the place of you and I pray for those who have not heard the gospel and the freedom, deliverance and salvation that you give in exchange for a sinful life.

Father, YOU REIGN!

Eternally yours
