My Lord,
You are just too good to me. Each day you have given me the rest that I so need. Daily, I'm driving home with sleepy eyes and once I get there, I'm no longer sleepy. I then have plans to do this, that and the other and then...I'm unable to keep my eyes open. I know that it's not the thyroids causing me to feel exhausted. I just think it's from the mental and physical ride over the past couple of months. But with your presence and grace...it's starting to get back to normal. And as strange or "selfish" as it may sound, I'm scheduled to go to Ohio this weekend to see my dad and then to Jamaica at the end of the month with my mom and sisters but all I can think about it just wanting to stay home, be alone with you and turn off my cell phone.
Father, I'm not depressed or overwhelmed. There are just many, many days where I do not want to do anything but to be completely still. Life has many challenges, demands and activities; to-do's and so on and so on...and I'd much rather sit at your feet and converse with you-cry, laugh, listen and share. So many have needs and I am oftentimes torn between which way to go and who to help. It may also sound selfish, but if I had a driver, I'd do so much more. Not out of obligation but out of pure love, because you've commanded us (your servants) to do just that; l-o-v-e!
Since you saved this [wretch] my life has been filled with lots of loving, caring and wonderful people and I want to be such a blessing to them. I get numerous request for lunch dates, activities, fellowship and visits and I'm so stretched and often fatigued. I would love to go to Canada and visit with Carol, go to Seattle and visit with Hope, go to California and visit with Kate, go to Michigan and visit Caroline, go to Detroit and visit with Renita, have regular fellowship with Angie, Jackie, Phyllis, and Renee. I miss spending quality time with Melanie and Kara, I need to have lunch with Cindy, Claudette, Dana, Tonya and Tanya. I miss Lauren and I really need to get together with Shelly, Lesley, Alicia and Aiesha. I would love to meet Myriam in South Carolina. We've been friends for about 6 years and have yet to meet.
Yes, if I had a driver, [he] could help in a big way :-)
Not to mention my senior friendships: Rosa, Gladys, Jenny, Ms. Seals, Glenda and mommy!
Lord, direct my footsteps according to your word and let no sin rule over me. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.
Prayers: Susie, Robin, Charlie, Doug and Susan, Bud and Joanne, the homeless couple from yesterday, my children, my siblings, my upcoming drive to Ohio, the time with my dad, this coming summer and all that YOU have planned, our intern-Brandon and anyone who is in need today. My Lord bless him/her or them; physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, and spiritually. In your precious and beloved name. Amen.
Eternally yours
