My Lord,

Each morning as I walk outside and hear the bird's song, I just love to pause.  When I listen to their sweet melodies, I think about their tiny heartbeats of joy.  It always reminds me of the scriptures in Matthew.

6:25-27 "Do Not Worry"
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do no sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

The old me had to plan and organize just about everything.  And now, each night I fall asleep in your perfect peace.  My tummy is full and so is my closet.  I used to have to lay out the work clothes in advance in order to be better prepared in the morning.  But somehow, like clockwork, at the crack of dawn, I put on my outfit and before you know it, I'm dressed and headed off to work.

In my mind, I still say that I haven't a clue as to what to wear, but you manage to pull something together for me and it always works itself out.  Just like my meals.  You've provided my daily bread for almost 48 years and I have never been hungry.

Deep breath...

Lord, you are my strength and my song...my hope is in you all day long.

Eternally yours
